On March 22, thought leaders working at the intersection of technology, academia, and global development discussed scaling impactful, data-driven solutions to the biggest challenges of our time, including the eradication of extreme poverty to achieve Sustainable Development Goal 1.

The event began with a fireside chat with BRAC Executive Director, Dr. Muhammad Musa; Stanford Angels & Entrepreneurs Co-President, Radhika Shah; and Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors Vice President, Heather Grady.

We heard perspectives from Prof. Kenneth Singleton, Distinguished Professor at the Stanford Graduate School of Business, as well as Dr. Temina Madon & Stanford Prof. David Lobell from the Atlas AI leadership team about how best to scale impact through AI-based technology.

Donella Rapier, CEO & President of BRAC USA, and Scott MacMillan, Senior Advisor for Innovation and Learning at BRAC USA, shared their perspectives on data-driven solutions that allow people struggling with poverty to live on their own terms, with the choices, freedom, and dignity that others take for granted.
