The Development and Political Economics Conference (DevPEC) is a student-led event that has taken place since 2015 with the generous support of the Stanford King Center on Global Development, Berkeley Center for Economics and Politics (BCEP), and the Berkeley Economy and Society Initiative (BESI). The conference brings together PhD candidates from different institutions working on topics related to development economics and political economy to present their work and receive feedback from other students as well as professors.
This year’s edition will take place on April 17 and 18, 2025 on UC Berkeley’s campus. Remote participation will also be available. The planning committee is composed of Stanford students Monia Tomasella, Camilla Cherubini, and Anna Vdovina, and UC Berkeley students Edgar Sanchez-Cuevas, Sarah Danner, Nikhil Shankar.
The Call for Papers has closed. Please check back at a later date for registration information.
