The Development and Political Economics PhD Student Conference (DevPEC) is a student-led event that has taken place since 2015 with the generous support of the Stanford King Center on Global Development, Berkeley Center for Economics and Politics (BCEP), and the Berkeley Economy and Society Initiative (BESI). The conference brings together PhD candidates from different institutions working on topics related to development economics and political economy to present their work and receive feedback from other students as well as faculty.
This year’s edition will take place on Stanford’s campus. The planning committee is composed of Stanford student Camila Blanes, and UC Berkeley students Sarah Danner, Igor Kolesnikov, Ziyi Liu, and Nick Shankar.
