Lisa Blaydes, Stanford Professor of Political Science and King Center Faculty Affiliate, will convene a small group of scholars to gather feedback on her book manuscript tentatively entitled States and Social Hierarchies in Kuwait and the Arab Gulf Region. Blaydes is a Professor of Political Science and a Senior Fellow at the Freeman Spogli Institute at Stanford University. She is affiliated with the Abbasi Program in Islamic Studies and the Program on Arab Reform and Democracy at the Center for Democracy, Development, and the Rule of Law.
Professor Beatriz Magaloni will chair the workshop. She is a King Center Faculty Affiliate, the Graham H. Stuart Professor of International Relations, a Professor of Political Science, and a Senior Fellow at the Freeman Spogli Institute for International Studies at Stanford.
