Event Details:
Location
The 2024 Fall Policy forum, co-sponsored by the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research (SIEPR) and the Stanford King Center on Global Development, will focus on trade policy, competitiveness, and global rules. We will address three main themes: trade policy in a more complex world; multilateral institutions, partnerships, and the future of the WTO, IMF, and TPP; and global competition and geoeconomic fragmentation in areas such as technology, innovation, and climate change.
We have confirmed a great lineup of speakers including Kimberly Clausing (University of California, Los Angeles), Bill Duhamel (Route One Investment Company), Judith Goldstein (SIEPR), Jennifer Harris (on leave from the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation), Ann Harrison (University of California, Berkeley), John Lipsky (Johns Hopkins University), Matteo Maggiori (SIEPR), Inu Manak (Council on Foreign Relations), Brad Setser (Council on Foreign Relations), Ramin Toloui (SIEPR), and Catherine Wolfram (Massachusetts Institute of Technology).
The policy forum will begin with lunch.
