Even moderate increases in air pollution, such as from dust due to low rainfalls, have a high impact on child mortality.
The International Growth Centre (IGC) and the Stanford King Center on Global Development will be hosting a one-day conference at Stanford on December 5th on the theme of “Firms, Trade and Development.” The event will be organized by David Atkin (MIT), Dave Donaldson (MIT), Cecile Gaubert (Berkeley), Pete Klenow (Stanford), Meredith Startz (Stanford), Eric Verhoogen (Columbia), and Chris Woodruff (Oxford).
We welcome papers on this theme for consideration on the program. Submit yours by August 23rd using the online form, and feel free to forward this call to others who may be interested. We will formulate the program and send out invitations and details shortly.
