Julieta Casas is the Einstein-Moos Postdoctoral Fellow at the Center for Democracy, Development, and the Rule of Law (CDDRL). Casas received her PhD in political science from the Johns Hopkins University in July 2024. Casas specializes in comparative political economy, with a regional focus on Latin America and the United States. Her research interests include state building, clientelism, and patronage politics. Her current research focuses on the conditions that allow democratic governments to implement successful and long-standing administrative reforms and combines quantitative historical data with case studies.
