Kidanewold Demesie is a Predoctoral Research Fellow at the King Center on Global Development. Born and raised in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, he recently graduated from La Salle University with a BS in Computer Science and a BA in Economics. Prior to joining Stanford, Demesie worked at Warner Bros. Discovery as a Technical Product Management Intern and at United States Liability Insurance Inc. as a Software Engineering Intern. Additionally, he was a SUMR scholar at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Moreover, Demesie has also published a paper on the application of game theory using information structure design to reduce bribery. He is an avid soccer fan and loves watching Manchester United.
