Dr. Preeti Panda is an assistant professor in the Division of Pediatric Emergency Medicine, Department of Emergency Medicine. She is also an assistant professor, by courtesy, in the Department of Pediatrics.

Her research focuses on human trafficking, child labor, and youth violence prevention. She is using data science, geospatial mapping, and community engaged research to understand how the built environment affects experiences of violence amongst youth. Dr. Panda’s work is additionally focused on using implementation science to create youth violence intervention programs that address multiple forms of violence, understanding health effects of U.S. child labor policies, and health needs of children of U.S. migrant workers in the agricultural sector.

Her work has been recognized with several national awards, including the Society for Academic Emergency Medicine (SAEM) Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellow award, and the Boston Congress of Public Health Top 40 Under 40 award.

Dr. Panda received a BS from Cornell University, and an MD with Distinction in Advocacy from Albany Medical College. She holds a Master’s of Science in Health Policy from Stanford University. She completed her clinical residency training in Pediatrics at Case Western Reserve University/Rainbow Babies and Children’s Hospital, and clinical fellowship training in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine.
