Sara Lowes

Sara Lowes is a postdoctoral fellow at the King Center on Global Development. Her research is at the intersection of development economics, political economy, and economic history. Many of her on-going projects are in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

She graduated from Harvard University in May 2017 with a PhD from the Political Economy and Government program (Economics track). She is a CIFAR Azrieli Global Scholar with the Institutions, Organizations & Growth research program and a Research Associate of the Centre for Economic Policy Research (CEPR). Lowes will join the University of California, San Diego as an Assistant Professor of Economics in Fall 2020.
