Shayla Fitzsimmons-Call is a Student Programs Intern at the King Center on Global Development. She is a sophomore studying International Relations with concentrations in Social Development and World Economy, and she is minoring in Acting. Outside of academics, Fitzsimmons-Call founded the nonprofit girlgol, which works with local communities around the world to empower girls through sports. Locally, she leads a high school program for female leadership development and has worked as a Scenic Technician for Stanford’s Theater Department.
Originally from the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia, Fitzsimmons-Call finds joy in nature, salsa dancing, and reading realistic fiction.
