Dr. Yvonne Maldonado is a pediatrician at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital, a professor of pediatrics, and the Taube Professor of Global Health and Infectious Diseases at Stanford. Dr. Maldonado is an expert on vaccines and has been involved in HIV research since the start of the epidemic. She is the principal investigator on all of the projects on the Maldonado Epi Group, and is involved in several other global health efforts, including work with polio and measles vaccines.
Dr. Maldonado is a member of Bio-X and the Maternal & Child Health Research Institute, as well as a senior fellow of the Stanford Center for Innovation in Global Health. She completed fellowships with Johns Hopkins Pediatric Infectious Diseases and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention before finishing her medical training at Stanford.
