Alexandria Boehm is a professor in the civil and environmental engineering department at Stanford. Her research is focused on key problems in both developed and developing countries with the goal of designing novel interventions and technologies for reducing the burden of disease. She also studies the sources, fate, and transport of waterborne pathogens, as well as their health effects. 

Professor Boehm received a BS in engineering and applied science from Caltech and an MS and PhD from the University of California, Irvine. She has published over 180 peer-reviewed papers and book chapters. She received the NSF CAREER award in 2007 and the ASCE Walter l. Huber research prize in 2016.
