Dana Foarta is an assistant professor of political economy at the Stanford Graduate School of Business. She teaches a core MBA course, Strategy Beyond Markets. Her current research examines the links between macroeconomics and political economy, with a focus of bank regulation and government interventions in financial markets. Her most recent work studies the welfare effects of policy coordination in banking unions, as well as the efficiency and welfare effects of centralizing banking regulation.

Foarta received her PhD in Economics from MIT and her BA in Economics and Mathematics from Amherst College.
