Ei Thandar Myint

Ei Thandar Myint was a Predoctoral Research Fellow at the King Center on Global Development. Her research interests are development economics, econometrics, behavioral economics, and industrial organization. She is also passionate about topics on gender and education, as well as social justice issues. Myint earned a BA in economics, with minors in mathematics and psychology, and a MA in economics from University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Her undergraduate thesis sought to better understand why adolescents choose to pursue majors in STEM fields, with a focus on expectancy-value theory. She also conducted research on the effects of lifting the U.S. export ban on crude oil prices during her master’s studies. She is from Yangon, Myanmar.
