Distinguished visitors

The Stanford King Center on Global Development welcomes nominations from Center faculty affiliates for visitors from leading academic and research-oriented organizations for periods from one quarter to one year.

Visitors are provided with office space in the John A. and Cynthia Fry Gunn Building  and have many opportunities for intellectual exchange with Center faculty affiliates and the broader Stanford research community.

During their stay, visitors will be able to participate in seminar series and workshops across campus and disseminate their work through the Center’s working paper series. They are also invited to engage with the policy and business communities during events held at the Center.

The time at the Center is intended to expand a visitor’s network of collaborators and mentors and to generate fresh and innovative research that can lead to real-world impacts on global poverty.

Visitors will have no teaching obligations, but will be requested to hold weekly office hours for students, publicized in advance, and to engage in their host department and in Center events.

Please note that applications require a letter of nomination from a Center faculty affiliate.
