Configuring Euro/Africa at Sea: Animating Ocean Life in Macaronesia
Teathloach Wal Nguot's work examines how ocean life is biologically and oceanographically animated in marine biology and conservation, oceanography, and fishing in Senegal and the Canary Islands. Nguot asks how this animation relates to marine conservation and fisheries management strategies as well as to the general infrastructure established by fishing.

Teathloach Wal Nguot is a PhD student in the department of anthropology at Stanford. He holds an honors BA with high distinction from the University of Toronto in anthropology and political science as well as a master's in anthropology and sociology from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies.
