This event gave PhD students from U.S. institutions a chance to present their research and learn about what other students are working on in applied micro topics related to development economics and political economy. Participants interacted with each other as well as faculty members in an informal and relaxed environment. This was a fantastic chance for students from the East Coast and the West Coast to create and strengthen professional relationships. This conference featured a keynote presentation by Marcella Alsan, Associate Professor of Medicine and the Stanford School of Medicine and Core Faculty Member at the Center for Health Policy / Primary Care and Outcomes Research.
