Social Re-Engineering: Political Coalitions and Social Change in India
When new political coalitions emerge, what are the implications for groups included or excluded from the new ruling coalition? While the strategies used to form new political coalitions in India have been extensively studied, the implications of such changes remain unclear. This project studies how changes in political coalition structures influence the salience of identity and the distribution of development resources.
